Install a digital cerificate - Windows store |
|
On the Windows operating system the proXSign component v2 will search for certificates in Windows system certificate store.
You can add the certificate into the certificate store in two ways:
·manual installation
·wizard installation
The setup package contains also some testing certificates in the folder Utilities\Testing certificates. For testing purpose you can use Janez Novak testing certificate.
Manual installation
To open the Certification Manager go to Start -> Run and type certmgr.msc and click Enter.
The Janez Novak certificate should be added to the Personal store.
Right click on the Certificates tree entry, select All tasks and then Import. Follow the wizard and select the Janez_Novak(pwdJanez_Novak).p12 file. This is PKCS12 password guarded file containing both the private key and the public key. It is password guarded because it contains the private key. The password is Janez_Novak. The wizard will ask for password when importing the certificate.

The CA issuer certificate must be added to the Trusted Authorities sub-tree. Right click on the Certificates tree entry, select All Tasks and then select Import. A wizard appears asking for certificate file name. Point to the CA issuer certificate sitest-ca-state-institutions.crt filename. In this case a password is not needed because this certificate file does not contain private key information.
